About the event
For over 10 years Crystal has been dedicated to helping connect children and their families to healing through counseling and support. Her experience in the field includes supporting children and their families while kids are placed in psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, and also has outpatient practice experience. Crystal has a Master’s in Family Ministry, Master’s in Family Psychology, and is a Trust Based Relational Intervention practitioner and CANS provider. Her experience as a foster and adoptive mother helps her relate to the unique challenges and successes of the foster care world. Combining both her professional and personal experiences in the child welfare system, Crystal works seamlessly within treatment teams to advocate for the kids she works with. She loves to teach through play in her therapy sessions, and often includes games, art, and child-directed play. For fun Crystal likes to do activities with her family, workout, and sing.
Attendees will be considered TBRI-Informed and will receive 6 CEUs!
TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection.
